Wen Pan has been ‘in love’ with art since a small child, and began learning traditional Chinese brush painting from the age of five. After completing a BA in Graphic Design at Donghua University in China. Wen Pan moved to the UK in 2006, and while embracing the English culture and contemporary art scene she felt freer to express herself creatively. Inspired by the sketchbooks of British artist David Hockney’s Wen Pan’s style shifted from long strokes and lines to shorter lines. In 2007 Wen Pan achieved a Masters in Illustration at the University of the Arts.
